Mohawk Mountain

Mohawk Mountain is a 25 trail resort located in northwestern Connecticut in the town of Cornwall. Below is general info regarding the mountain and trails. Elevation Summit: 1600 feet,

Fun fact: In 1948 Mohawk worked with several local engineers to develop the very first snowmaking system ever used at a ski resort, the basis for the technology used worldwide today. Mohawk Mountain has remained a family business and a favorite destination for the past 70 years.

Powder Ridge

Powder Ridge is located centrally in the state in the town of Middlefield. Mountain Statistics: Vertical Rise: 550 ft, Base Elevation: 170 ft, Summit Elevation: 720 ft, Number of Trails: 19, Skiable Acres: 80, Snowmaking is available on most trails. Number of lifts: 5 (1 triple, 2 doubles, 2 surface).

Powder Ridge opened a new 365 Synthetic Snow Park in the summer of 2017! The Park features a 500-foot run for skiing and boarding plus two tubing lanes. A Carpet lift is installed to service both the tubing and ski runs.

Mount Southington

Mount Southington also located in central CT calls Plantsville it's home. Minutes from Exit 30 on Rt. 84 it is very convenient for a day trip. Mountain Statistics: Vertical Rise 425 ft, Base Elevation 100 ft, Summit Elevation 525 ft, Number of Trails 14, Skiable Acres 51, Snowmaking: 100% of mountain, Number of lifts: 7.

Ski Sundown

Ski Sundown is a ski area located in the town of New Hartford, Connecticut. Founded in 1964 to this day Ski Sundown offers that small mountain feel with today's newest technologies. Mountain Statistics: Vertical Rise 625 ft, Base Elevation 450 ft, Summit Elevation 1075 ft, Number of Trails 16, Skiable Acres 70, Number of lifts: 5 (3 triples, 2 conveyors). Snowmaking on 100% of the mountain.

Woodbury Ski Area

Located in Woodbury, CT Woodbury Ski Area is a short drive up from Fairfield County wihich makes it a perfect destination to ski or snowboard for a few hours without driving hours. Mountain Statistics: Vertical Rise 300 ft, Number of Trails 12, Skiable Acres 100. Reader note: it is reported that the mountain closes at times so we recommend contacting Woodbury Ski Area before going.
